TECHNICAL SUMMARY of InDrive MARINE PROPULSION SYSTEM

Unlike conventional technologies, the InDrive™ Marine Propulsor, is in essence a propeller in a housing, which moves massive amounts of water with two main moving parts to create propulsion while reducing the efficiency losses associated with current propellors.

There is no required reduction gear box, no naked propeller, and no appendage below the keel. Moreover, the InDrive™ has the steering capability to deliver 100% thrust throughout the 360-degree rotating steering nozzle range — obvious benefits for a safe and sustainable industry.

The Baron Marine InDrive marine propulsor creates a controlled environment resulting in the maximum use of the induced energy of the prime mover to produce a highly efficient and effective thrust force at the steering nozzle.

The InDrive is all the efficiency of a propeller without the issues of potential horrendous injuries and death:

  • United States Coast Guard vetted
  • Safe – no exposed propeller to cause horrendous maiming or death
  • Ecosystem friendly
  • Efficient – gasoline, diesel, hybrid and electric
  • Cost-effective
  • Durable 535 Almag Aluminum Alloy construction
  • Simple assembly modualized design
  • Easy to use operation – low maintenance
  • No open blade tangential losses
  • No open blade slip
  • No appendages below the vessel keel to cause drag
  • Shallow water operation
  • Excellent maneuverability with 360 degree thrust
  • No propeller torque effects on directional stability
  • Minimal fouling
  • No cyclic oscillation
  • No trim required
